Big Climb, Big Views, Fast Finish
Overview
The shorter of Rainbow Ridge's two distances, climbing to the Kings Castle summit for sweeping views before a fully downhill, flowing finish back to the community center.
Course
An out-and-back style climb starting at the Upper McKenzie Community Center, gaining about 2,600 feet on the way up to the Kings Castle summit for views over the McKenzie River valley and the high Cascades, then a fully downhill return for a fast finish.
Aid Stations
One aid station, hit twice: near Rd 480/Kings Castle at roughly mile 3.85 and again at mile 7.9.

Race-day check-in at the Upper McKenzie Community Center, 5:00-9:15 AM.
