Walk in the Park

14K25K50KSunday, September 6, 2026British-Columbia

Trail running tradition with heart in the Kamloops desert

Overview

Since 1992, Walk in the Park has been one of British Columbia’s most beloved grassroots trail races. Born from a simple idea to gather the running community together, it has grown into one of the province’s longest running ultra trail events. Whether you are taking on the 14K, grinding through the 25K, or pushing yourself on the full 50K, this race is as much about the people as it is about the trails.

The event winds through Kamloops’ Kenna Cartwright Park, where sagebrush, open desert ridgelines, and sweeping views collide to create a true playground for trail runners. Every climb and descent rewards you with panoramic views of the valley and a taste of the rugged terrain that makes this race unforgettable. Stick around after for the legendary post-race BBQ, cheer in fellow runners, and be part of a community that celebrates grit, determination, and fun in equal measure.
