Run high above the water with big views and bigger climbs at the Turnagain Arm Trail Run.
The Turnagain Arm Trail Run is a Southcentral Alaska springtime tradition that combines rugged terrain, sweeping views of Turnagain Arm, and the kind of community energy you only get on race night. This isn’t just a race, it’s a fundraiser that powers the UAA Ski Team, so every stride you take also supports future athletes.
The course winds through singletrack and double-wide trails that are rocky, rooty, and full of adventure. With fast descents, punchy climbs, and an evening start, this race is both approachable and exhilarating. Whether you’re tackling the full 8 miles from Potter to McHugh and back, or charging the 4-mile point-to-point, you’ll earn your finish with stunning views and a whole lot of trail stoke. Come for the challenge, stay for the camaraderie, and leave with memories of one of Alaska’s most scenic trail races.
