All races take place on the scenic single track and grassy trails of the Matanuska Greenbelt. Runners can expect rolling terrain with wet and slick sections, roots, leaves, and the occasional downed tree to scramble over. Courses are well-marked with directional signs and color-coded trail flags unique to each distance.

Expect the wild feel of true Alaska trail running — lush forests, open views of the surrounding mountains, and trails that keep you on your toes. The 25K and 50K courses are especially rewarding, offering long stretches of flowing single track and plenty of opportunities to test your endurance.
