Overview
The Pronghorn Pursuit Trail Run is Dillon’s annual celebration of trails, community, and mountain grit. Hosted on the High Trails system just outside of town, this race blends wild sagebrush hills, sweeping Beaverhead Valley views, and friendly Montana hospitality into a one-of-a-kind trail event.
The 15K course is steep, technical, and exhilarating, with 2,400ft of climbing packed into single-track that demands focus and rewards effort. The 5K gives a taste of those same ridgelines and descents at a more approachable distance, with 500ft of climbing and a joyful all-downhill final kilometer. Families can join the 1M Fun Run/Walk, while kids 10 and under have their own 5K adventure. Expect community cheer, post-race food, and a festival-like atmosphere at the Dillon Town Overlook Trailhead.
