Diez Vista 50K
Founded in 1997, Diez Vista is one of the most historic trail ultras in Canada — 2027 marks its 29th year.
Overview
One of the most historic ultras in Canada, running since 1997. Founded by local trail runners to showcase the trails around Port Moody, BC. Starts and finishes at Sasamat Lake in Belcarra Regional Park, taking runners up and down the trails of neighbouring Buntzen Lake, including the namesake Diez Vistas trail, over west coast rainforest singletrack and gravel service roads.
Course
A counter-clockwise loop starting and finishing at White Pine Beach, circling Sasamat Lake before climbing to the Diez Vistas ridge for sweeping views. The course then drops to Buntzen Lake, crossing a suspension bridge and a floating bridge, looping both the north and south ends of the lake via the Buntzen Lake Trail, Energy Trail, and Academy Trail, with an out-and-back spur to Eagle Mountain Rd, before retracing the Diez Vista climb and returning via the FUG stairs to the finish on White Pine Beach.
Aid Stations
6 aid stations plus a water-only station: DV Saddle (~km 6, water only), Buntzen North (~km 13), Buntzen South Gazebo (~km 20, drop bag, cutoff 12:35 PM), Equestrian Lot (~km 28, cutoff 1:50 PM), Eagle Mtn Rd (~km 34, cutoff 3:00 PM), Pumphouse Rd (~km 41).
Logistics
Bib Pickup
Friday 3:00-7:00 PM at Runners' Den (Port Moody); Saturday 6:45-7:45 AM at White Pine Beach. Photo ID required.
Drop Bags
One drop bag allowed, delivered to Aid Station #3 (~km 20). Must be no larger than a shoebox.
Swag & Medals
All entries include a $10 donation to Coquitlam Search & Rescue, a tree planted through a Fraser Valley reforestation partnership, a custom DV hoodie, a branded beer glass, a tote bag, a sticker, post-race BBQ/soup/sushi, post-race massage, and professional chip timing. A $500 bonus is paid to any runner who breaks the course record.

Sasamat Lake at White Pine Beach. Belcarra Regional Park is paid parking only, April 1-Sept 30.
Requirements
Poles, pacers, and pets are not permitted. Crew access limited to Aid Stations #3 and #5 only.
