This race features a challenging 3-mile loop that combines steep climbs with flowing descents. Each lap begins with an approximately half-mile ascent of over 800ft to the summit of Cline Butte, followed by a joyful, fast descent. The loop repeats as many times as participants’ endurance allows during the timed events.

Participants in the Last Person Standing event begin a new lap at the top of each hour until the final runner remains. The 5K event completes a single loop. Key highlights include stunning desert vistas, wide open skies, and an unforgettable Central Oregon sunset experience.
