Overview

The Pine to Palm 100 Mile Endurance Run is more than just a race, it’s a celebration of wild Oregon landscapes and the grit it takes to conquer them. For over a decade, runners have tested themselves against this iconic point-to-point journey from Williams to Ashland. This 13th edition marks the final chapter of Pine to Palm, and the race promises to go out with a roar of drumbeats, rugged trails, and unforgettable community spirit.

Along the course, runners will traverse ancient forests, high mountain meadows, and the spectacular Siskiyou Crest. Expect steep climbs, rocky ridges, big descents, and endless mountain views. It’s tough, raw, and beautiful. From the first step on the pavement in Williams to the triumphant finish at Lithia Park in Ashland, every mile feels like history in the making. Pine to Palm is old school and homegrown, yet full of heart, joy, and chocolate milk at the finish.

The Pine to Palm 100M begins in Williams, climbing immediately into rugged mountain terrain. Runners take on a massive ascent up Greyback Mountain before cruising ridges, dipping into valleys, and tracing the wild spine of the Siskiyou Crest. The course is remote and challenging with steep climbs, exposed ridgelines, and technical descents. Along the way, runners will find stunning views of peaks like Wagner Butte, alpine lakes including Acorn Woman Lakes, and long sections of the Pacific Crest Trail. Aid stations, crew access, and pacer points are strategically placed to support this demanding point-to-point journey.

The Pine to Palm 100M features a network of fully staffed aid stations providing water, electrolytes, food, and encouragement to get you through the mountains. Some stations also allow drop bags and crew access. Medical aid is available at Seattle Bar, Dutchman Peak, and Grouse Gap.

Bib Pickup

Packet pickup is available Friday evening at Pacifica Garden and again Saturday morning at the start line staging area. Runners receive a goody bag, bib, and race tee.

Drop Bags

Drop bags must be delivered Friday night between 3:30PM and 6:30PM at Pacifica. Bags will be transported to designated aid stations. Any bags left behind after the race will be returned to the finish at Pioneer Hall for retrieval. It is the runner’s responsibility to reclaim their bag.

Crew & Pacers

Crew access is allowed at select aid stations including Seattle Bar, Dutchman Peak, and Grouse Gap.

Pacers may join their runner beginning at Dutchman Peak. Only one pacer is permitted per runner unless otherwise approved by the race director.

Crews and visitors must respect all aid station guidelines and should be prepared for limited parking and rugged access roads.

Volunteers

Pine to Palm depends on an amazing community of volunteers who help with aid stations, course marking, safety, and finish line celebrations. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the race organizers for more details.

Swag & Medals

All finishers receive a custom buckle, race tee, and post-race meal. Sub-24 finishers earn a special buckle.

Getting There

The closest airports are Rogue Valley International Medford Airport (MFR), approximately 30 minutes from Ashland, and Eugene Airport (EUG), about 3 hours north.

Passes & Permits

No passes or permits required.

Parking

Parking is available at Pacifica and at the start line. Shuttle service is provided post-race back to Pacifica. Crews should expect limited parking at aid stations and follow volunteer directions.

Lodging

Williams, Oregon has small local inns and Airbnbs. Ashland, Oregon offers a wider range of hotels, motels, and vacation rentals, with many options within walking distance of Lithia Park finish line.

Requirements

Pine to Palm is a rugged mountain 100 miler and requires prior ultramarathon experience. Runners should be prepared for long stretches without aid, significant elevation gain, and challenging weather conditions.

Qualifying Races

Pine to Palm requires ultramarathon experience. Details are determined by the race director during registration approval.

Mandatory Gear

Runners must carry headlamps for night running and be prepared with lights at Squaw Lakes. Pacers must also carry essential gear.
