Take on Cypress Mountain’s wild singletrack and alpine lakes with 5 Peaks

Overview

Get ready for a day of pure mountain magic at Cypress Mountain, the third stop of the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series in British Columbia. This race is designed for everyone—from kids discovering the joy of trail running to seasoned mountain runners hungry for elevation and technical terrain. With every distance, you’ll find yourself weaving through towering evergreens, powering up rugged doubletrack climbs, and savoring alpine lake views that make the effort worth it.

And the adventure doesn’t end at the finish line. Stick around to ride the Eagle Coaster, grab food and drinks indoors or out, or even try your hand at axe throwing. This is more than a race—it’s a celebration of trails, community, and mountain fun. Whether you’re racing, cheering, crewing, or volunteering, Cypress Mountain delivers an unforgettable summer day in the peaks.

About 5 Peaks

5 Peaks

5 Peaks Adventures is one of Canada’s most beloved trail running organizations, fostering a welcoming and adventurous community for runners of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Founded with a mission to bring people into nature and connect them through trail running, 5 Peaks hosts events across the country, from coast to coast, encouraging exploration, challenge, and joy on some of Canada’s most beautiful trails.

The heart of the organization lies in the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series, a set of five regional races held in distinct geographical zones across Canada. Each event offers a range of distances, from 1 km kids’ runs to the “Grit” category (approximately a half marathon)—ensuring a fun and inclusive experience for families, beginners, and seasoned trail runners alike.

In addition to the Series, 5 Peaks hosts larger-scale trail adventures like the Powderface Mountain Marathon, STOKED ULTRA™, STOKED SCRAMBLE™, and TranSelkirks Run, offering longer, more technical, and truly epic experiences for those seeking to go beyond the half marathon mark.

More than just races, 5 Peaks events are gatherings of like-minded outdoor enthusiasts who value challenge, community, and the beauty of nature. With an active presence on Strava and social media, and a deep connection to partners and charitable causes, 5 Peaks Adventures is a trail running movement, encouraging people to get outside, stay inspired, and always keep moving forward.
